Every year I hand out a combination of candy and non candy treats on Halloween. I’m always surprised at how many kids choose the not-candy options!
Some of these items are a little more pricey up front, but unlike candy, the extras are still good to hand out the next year!
Stickers
I find that stickers are always a hit with trick or treaters! Sometimes I hand out sticker sheets, including dress up sticker sheets, which are kind of like a single page sticker book. Last year I handed out water bottle stickers, and those were very popular!
Pencils
I am always amazed at how much kids love fancy pencils. They aren’t my most popular item, but I always stock a few, and I always get a handful of very eager takers.
Fidget Toys
Fidget toys can get pretty pricey, but my kids and their friends love mochi squishy toys, and they are affordable.
Cute Erasers
Cute erasers are always a hit, especially with upper elementary school trick or treaters.
Small Plastic Animals
I only stock a few small plastic animals every years, but much like with pencils, I always get a handful of kids who are very excited about them! I find that dinosaurs are especially popular.
Mini Notebooks
I love the creativity that blank mini notebooks inspire in children.
